DO254 Certification

DO-254 Certification & Advisory Services

Navigating the complexities of Electronic Hardware Design Assurance (DO-254) requires more than just engineering—it requires a roadmap to compliance.

We don’t just consult; we partner with your team to bridge the gap between design and airworthiness.

Phase 1: Strategic Planning & Document Authoring

The foundation of a successful SOI (Stage of Involvement) audit lies in the planning documents. We advise and assist in the creation of the “Big Five” essential plans:

  • PHAC: Plan for Hardware Aspects of Certification.
  • HVMP: Hardware Verification Management Plan.
  • HDP: Hardware Design Plan.
  • HVMAP: Hardware Validation Plan.
  • HCP: Hardware Configuration Management Plan.

Our Value Add: We ensure your plans are tailored to your specific Design Assurance Level (DAL A-D), preventing over-engineering while satisfying all FAA/EASA/IMTAR 21 objectives.

Phase 2: Technical Verification & Validation (V&V)

Our team provides the hands-on technical labor required to generate the evidence needed for certification.

  1. Requirement Engineering: We help refine high-level requirements into derived hardware requirements with 100% bi-directional traceability.
  2. Independent Verification: Providing the “Independent Review” required for DAL A and B systems.
  3. Simulation & Hardware-in-the-Loop: Developing robust test benches and performing physical tests on the target hardware to verify timing and functional boundaries.
  4. Elemental Analysis: Conducting Code Coverage and Logic Analysis to ensure no unintended functions exist in your RTL.

Phase 3: Audit Support & Liaison

The final hurdle is the Stage of Involvement (SOI) Audits. We act as your technical liaison to ensure a smooth certification path.

  • Pre-Audit Readiness: We conduct “Mock Audits” (SOI 1 through SOI 4) to identify gaps before the authorities see them.
  • Liaison Services: Managed by Vijay Chauhan, leveraging deep experience with IMTAR 21 and Thales-level program management to interface with certification authorities.
  • Final Accomplishment Summary: Authoring the HAS (Hardware Accomplishment Summary) to close out the project.

Why Choose Our Advisory?

The ChallengeOur Solution
Complex StandardsWe translate DO-254 “objectives” into actionable engineering tasks.
Audit FailuresOur “Audit-First” mindset ensures documentation is compliant from Day 1.
Integration Riskswe specialize in the tricky interface between Hardware(DO254) and Software (DO-178C).
